Questions people ask
- Is there a minimum amount of stuff?
- Not a fixed one, but a single low value item is rarely worth a trip. A carload is where it starts making sense for everyone.
- What does it cost me?
- Nothing up front. The reseller pays you for the items and makes their money on the resale, so the figure you see is what you get.
- What will you not take?
- Clothing, books and general low value bits usually sell for less than it costs to collect and list them, and we say so rather than taking them and quietly binning them. Antiques, art and jewellery we flag for a proper look rather than guessing.
- How do you decide what something is worth?
- We compare it against what similar items have recently sold for, and check the number against a sensible range for that kind of item. Where we are not confident, we say so on the item rather than presenting a guess as a valuation.
